Inside The POISE Archives: Exploring Cocomo

Hi All,

Just a short blog this week as I am going away for a few days of rest and recuperation, but I wanted to share with you some of the insider information that I know you all love.

Emma Dalton, my main protagonist in The POISE Archives: Gifts, (Available via Amazon and also via wider distribution) is the owner of a successful 360-degree image consultancy business based in Knightsbridge, London. Cocomo is short for Counselling, Coaching and Motivation, and is pronounced Ko-co-mo as in the Beach Boys song.

Emma’s philosophy, and that of her business is that the world should be a better place for a person having lived, and she set out to create a business that would help people to do just that.

Her 360-degree approach to the Image Consultancy industry means that not only do her clients receive make-up and skin care advice and a personal stylist to assist with choosing their colours, clothes and hairstyles, but they also receive counselling, coaching and motivational interventions to ensure that they are living their best lives, fulfilling their goals and dreams.

When I was writing Gifts, I imagined Cocomo being situated on the ground floor of this building, which you may recognise as the Burberry building on the Brompton Road and Regent Street, in London.

The beautiful building had the elegance and stature that I wanted Cocomo to convey. Inside I visualised mostly white marble with teal silk swag curtains to decorate the windows and break up the white. The rest of the design, I leave up to you, the reader.

Well, that’s all for this week, I hope you enjoyed this little piece of insider information.

Be happy,

Martine.
